Keepen is a French start-up offering the first non-intrusive, fully autonomous alarm system for permanent protection of the home or business. It cuts the number of nuisance alarms by a factor of 50.
An alarm is simply mounted on the front door. Equipped with sensors and a powerful siren, if movement is detected, the device instantly analyzes whether it is an authorized person (wearing a badge), before triggering the siren and sending an alert to those concerned (residents / neighbors / security team). An application for activity logging, alerts and authorization management completes the offer.
Nodesign was involved in the strategic positioning of the system, the design of the product range, the production of functional prototypes, the interface design of the application and the production of the graphic charter.

An alarm that is easy to install, but not easily damaged.
The alarm is easily attached to the door using a system of screws and glue, but it also has to be difficult to remove to prevent an intruder from getting rid of it too easily. As the alarm is battery-powered, it also had to be easy to dismantle so that changing the battery was quick and simple.
The Nodesign team therefore worked on a shape that left little grip for the hand, so that it couldn't be easily ripped off, as well as on mechanical tricks to ensure that mounting/dismounting wasn't a headache.
A simple app to manage everything remotely
The application, also designed by Nodesign, alerts users to intruders and manages badge entry and exit.
Thanks to a simplified authorization system, the application lets you assign time slots to certain badges to restrict the entry of guests. For example, you can leave your keys with your neighbor so that he can water the plants without triggering an alarm, while restricting entry to certain days of the week.
