I do not know if, as you say in this issue, the fundamental aim of the Bauhaus was to "humanize the industry." The purpose was not so much how to respond to the comfort or progress that is lived with the objects that surround us, in terms of reception, or consumer, because this dimension has remained upstream for comfort productivity, already conceived by men of course, but for some men. Why did it take a humanist if it is a matter of social distinction or prestige? Indeed, the design is based on the distinction, that is to say, and self-contempt in relation to the "vulgar" and the archaic object that passes in time. It's a way to separate industrial objects worthy and unworthy.
While you seem to convey the utopian design based on a kind of re-enchantment very comfortable, contrary to the Bauhaus was the site of controversy for the choices and big decisions to make in Western societies. The tension that has inhabited the entire trajectory and the history of the Bauhaus was to take into account the issues conveyed through progress in productivist choices. What choices? Industry or craft? Industry and standardization have been selected and the first Bauhaus traditional dimension has been evacuated after a massive shift towards standardization. The industry, aware of its power and its potential, should change the idea of society, especially mass produce efficiently. All we can say in defense of the consumer experience, the design of the object seems to take an advertising discourse or a myth, because the seduction today, I think he is only oriented industry, and is to say, how to attract industry leaders to impose my brand?
