Reflection on a design strategy for the city of Paris

Cities and large metropolises are a challenge as well as a subject for design. The proposals of the designers are as numerous as they are varied for new forms of utility and urban poetry that serve and sign the cities. We are obviously thinking of urban furniture, but it must now be extended to environmental and ecological issues, to the issues of cleanliness and safety, but also to new mobilities and sports and leisure facilities. Cities also welcome innovations, robotic systems, drones, new digital services that are also designed... It is measured, the subject is vast and in the making. Faced with the resolution of these many challenges, Paris is thinking about how to «Do Design» in an ascendant way with designers to consider what they could do for Paris but also to invent what Paris could do with Design.
