FedEx now offers a small object to track their packages in real time.

the parcel delivery company FedEx has developed a small device that allows users to track the movement of their packages. Appointed Senseaware, the device is placed in your package before shipping and gives you real time information about your package via the web. a GPS receiver, accelerometer, a GSM transmitter and a light sensor are integrated into one tiny product. Data reports are sent until your package has arrived. This lets users know if their fragile parcels were abandoned or lost lout open throughout its journey. The device is only for U.S. only and costs 120 USD per shipment. Senseaware seems ideal for frequent shipments of sensitive products such as medical supplies or large contracts.
